Tara has received two Honorable Mention awards for Vivian Kirkfield's 50 Precious Words contests (2022 and 2024). The guidelines for the contest were simple – write a story for children in 50 words or less.
Tara's story FINDING BRIGHTNESS IN THE DARKNESS received an Honorable Mention in the Tough Topics category for the 2024 #50PreciousWords contest.
It was adapted from a full-format picture book. Please contact her agent if you'd like to request the story in its full format.
